Automation, Robotics, and Electronics with Steven First
Cumberland Perry is excited to open a new program for the 2018-2019 school year! Automation, Robotics, and Electronics will be a 3 year program that teaches designing, installing, troubleshooting, and repairing automation and industrial equipment. Curriculum for the Automation, Robotics, and Electronics will include:
- Industrial Motor Controls
- Robotics and Electronics
- Programmable Logic Controls (PLCs)
- Mechanical Power Transmission Systems
- Fluid Power Systems/Hydraulics/Pneumatics
- Blueprints and Schematics
- Electricity and Electrical Systems
- A/C and D/C Circuitry
Steven First is the instructor for the new program. He comes to CPAVTS with an Associate’s Degree from Thaddeus Stevens and he is pursuing a bachelor’s degree for Electronic Engineering at Grantham University. He brings many years of experience in the electronics field as a repair technician and an engineer. He also worked in industrial maintenance and robotic repair. Steven is excited to teach his students and share his knowledge in the electronics field. He wants to engage his students to self-learn outside of CPAVTS.
In his spare time, he is an outdoor enthusiast! He is a semi-pro mountain biker, loves ATV’s, and has a custom-built electric go cart.
